Before the Elitlopp weekend, Solvalla wants to inform about what applies when entering the arena. The entire area is covered by a serving permit, which means that your own food and drink may not be brought in. In addition, bag restrictions apply at the entrances.
During the Elitlopp weekend, the entire Solvalla is a serving area. According to the current serving permit, it is therefore not allowed to bring your own food or drink into the arena. At the same time, there is a wide range of restaurants to choose from.
- This year, we have brought in even more food trucks to offer many choices in the audience. Another novelty is that Svenska Brasserier, which operates Sturehof, Riche, Ulriksdals Värdshus and Gondolen, will be coming to Solvalla during the Elitlopp weekend. "They are located at our summer restaurant Pershing with an exciting selection," says Fredrik Westberg, commercial manager at Solvalla.
There is also a bag restriction in the stadium. Only small handbags, measuring 25 x 20 x 15 cm, and computer cases are allowed to be brought in. Examples of permitted bags are small shoulder bags or small waist bags. Backpacks, larger handbags and other larger bags are not allowed.
Visitors are searched at the entrance and are advised to bring as little as possible. If you are unsure, it is best to leave your bag at home. Bags that are not allowed can be handed in at the bag drop at the main entrance, to the left of the main entrance.
- "Our recommendation is simple: bring as little as possible. It makes it easier both for you as a visitor and for the flow into the arena," says Fredrik Westberg.
Only small handbags (max. 25 × 20 x 15 cm) and computer cases are allowed into the stadium. Searches will take place at the entrance.

We recommend that you take as little as possible. If you are unsure, leave your bag at home.

Why are you doing this?
Answer: We are introducing a bag ban to create a safer and smoother experience for all visitors. It will reduce queues at the entrances and make it easier for security staff to keep the area under control during one of the busiest weekends of the year. By banning bags, we reduce the risk of unauthorized and dangerous items entering.
Is it a legal requirement?
Answer: No, it is not a legal requirement. It is a decision we have taken together with our security partners to increase the level of security and improve the flow into the area. Through our event permit, the Police Authority gives us that opportunity to make our event safe and secure.
Why is it not allowed to bring food into the area?
Answer: Elitloppshelgen is a large event with a wide range of food and beverages and the whole of Solvalla is covered by a catering license. Therefore, own food and drink may not be brought or consumed in the arena as the organizer is responsible for order, serving and food handling in the area.
Why are you not allowed to carry a larger bag if it does not contain food or drink?
Answer: The size of the bag itself is crucial, regardless of its contents. Larger bags take longer to check and affect both security and the speed of entry, and risk creating long queues.
What are the exceptions - and how are they handled?
Answer: Small bags with hygiene products, changing bags, medicines, medical food (with a doctor's certificate) and the like may be taken in after a search.
What happens if a customer arrives with the wrong bag?
Answer: Visitors with unauthorized bags are not allowed to bring them into the site. Bag drop-off is offered for a fee (SEK 100), otherwise it needs to be taken care of outside the area.
What about refunding or replacing a pre-purchased ticket if the customer does not accept the policy?
Answer: The bag policy is part of the event terms and conditions. Purchased tickets will not be refunded because of this, but we encourage everyone to read the information well in advance.
How much does bag drop cost?
Answer: Bag drop is available for a fee of SEK 100.
Is it for the whole weekend or just Saturday and Sunday?
Answer: The ban on bringing in food and drink will be in force throughout the weekend and all bags will be searched. However, there is no restriction on the size of bags on Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, bags larger than 25 x 20 x 15 cm will not be allowed into the stadium.
Are you just doing this to make money?
Answer: No, it is not. The decision is primarily about safety and creating a better flow for all visitors. As an organizer, we have a great responsibility for visitors, competitors, horses and staff. The decision is based on safety and security. Experience from previous bag bans showed that it worked smoothly.
