Decision Maker is ready for the last Sunday in May and Elitloppet 2024.
- She is a victory machine that has developed enormously and is now taking the step into the highest elite, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.
Decision Maker has competed extensively in vintage races both as a three and four-year-old. She qualified for the short E3 final in 2022 and in 2023 she won both the trial race and the semi-final of the Breeders Crown.
As a four-year-old she won Margaretas Tidiga Unghästserie at Solvalla and during that summer she was also second in Prix Diana Zet 2023 behind the already Elitlopp-invited Joviality. She then finished the year by winning the final of the STL-Stoeliten at Solvalla's Boxing Day race.
She now has ten wins in her last twelve starts and after winning Lovely Godivas Minne at Åbytravet in her last start, Decision Maker now faces the Elitloppet for the first time. Trainer Stefan Melander has won the world's biggest sprint race both with Iceland in 2010 and Nuncio in 2016 and now has a new opportunity.
- I really like her and I don't know how good she is," says coach Stefan Melander.
Decision Maker is the fourteenth horse in Elitloppet 2024 and now two places remain, one of which goes to the winner of HRH Prince Daniel's race at 18.20 at Gävletravet today, Saturday.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 24-26, 2024. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
