It will be even more French behind the starting car on the last Sunday in May.

- "Gaspar de Brion is a wild card in this year's edition. He impressed me a lot in the last race when he beat both Idao de Tillard and Hohneck, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.
Gaspar de Brion finished second in the Prix des Ducs de Normandie in Caen, France, this past weekend, where he was ahead of much of the French elite, and after that effort, the circle around the horse has received a pink ticket to the Elitloppet 2024. The start in the Elitloppet will be the first time that the eight-year-old gelding comes to Sweden.
Gaspar de Brion had a great fall last year where he first won the Grand Prix Anjou-Maine and later took home the Grand Prix du Sud-Ouest in Toulouse with 81,000 euros in first prize - which is the biggest victory of his career. This year he has won the Prix du Forez at Vincennes racecourse.
Trainer Matthieu Abrivard has participated as a driver several times before in Elitloppet - the last two years he has made it to the final with Vivid Wise As and now he comes with a self-trained horse to Solvalla.
- The Elitloppet is a huge race and I like competing at Solvalla. My horse is in great shape and I'm looking forward to the race," says Matthieu Abrivard.
There are now only three places left for Elitloppet on May 26. The next horse will be invited on Saturday, May 18 and the following day the starting field should be ready.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 24-26, 2024. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
