There will be a new attempt in Elitloppet - more precisely the fifth in order. Propulsion will once again come to Solvalla.
- "It feels fantastic that one of Swedish trotting's biggest profiles is ready for the race," says Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot.
The nine-year-old stallion has a long track record. Over 31 million SEK earned so far in his career, including major victories in Åbys Stora Pris, UET Trotting Masters, Olympiatravet, Hugo Åbergs Memorial, Norrbottens Stora Pris and Årjängs Stora Sprinterlopp just to name a few - several of which he has won more than once.
Propulsion has also participated in both the Grand Prix d'Amerique and Elitloppet several times. Four, two, two, four is Propulsion's record in terms of previous Elitlopp starts. It has long been unclear what would happen with Elitloppet 2020 for one of the favorites, but on Saturday it was announced that horse number thirteen in this year's edition is Propulsion.
Coach Daniel Redén gave the green light to a pink invitation after the fine-tuning training session and Propulsion, which has not started since the end of January, will thus go straight into Elitloppet 2020.
- The last weekend in May would not be the same without him, says Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot.
2020 will be Propulsion's fifth start in Elitloppet.

About Elitloppet
Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 29-31, 2020. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives three million SEK.
Invited horses for Elitloppet 2020: Vivid Wise As (Italy), Elian Web (Finland), Chief Orlando (Finland), Attraversiamo (Sweden), Tae Kwon Deo (Sweden), Missle Hill (Sweden), Looking Superb (Norway), Makethemark (Sweden), Cokstile (Italy), Sorbet (Sweden), Earl Simon (Sweden), Racing Mange (Sweden), Propulsion (Sweden)
This year, the Elitlopp weekend will be organized without spectators. The spread of the new coronavirus has led to laws, regulations and directives that have resulted in Solvalla and other Swedish trotting tracks completely closing down their spectator facilities since March 12. In addition to this, a number of restrictions have been introduced around the stables. The racecourses are today a strict workplace where only people who perform a job have access.
