Sweden Cup, "Lilla Elitloppet" is one of the big numbers on Saturday. The speed party has begun.
The first attempt was run in parts at a furious pace, and here they were not left alone in the lead. The favorite Slide So Easy managed to take over after an initial half-quarter after just over 1.07, but immediately got pressure from Spitcam Jubb. Through the final turn, the pace was still high, and when it was time to sprint - who broke away from the group if not Örjan Kihlström, who had been sitting back at the end of the field with Daniel Redén's Sorbet. The speed bit well the last bit, and it was finally a safe victory for Sorbet in a time of 1.10,3. Second was German guest Cash Hanover (10,4) and third wen brave Spitcam Jubb (10,5). These three to the final.
The second division was not as dramatic, as the early leader Arazi Boko (Alessandro Gocciadoro) did not let anyone pass him. Örjan Kihlström was closest behind the winner at the finish after a trip to the outside, looked for a while to be able to challenge with his Caid Griff (again for Daniel Redén) but had to settle for second place a bit ahead of third Nappa Scar and Per Lennartsson.
Örjan Kihlström was very involved also in the third trial...but his Love Matters (Daniekl Redén) never really got the upper hand on the leading and very brave Charrula Forlan who became the fastest trial winner with the time 1.09,7 for his trainer Hans-Owe Sundberg. Love Matters second, and also Jairo and Joakim Lövgren in the final
The tracks for the final will be drawn, and we will return with the start list.
