The countdown to Elitloppet 2022 begins in earnest today. There are 100 days to go until the final of the Elitloppet, which in 2022 will be the world's most profitable sulky race.
Last year it took until April 7th before Solvalla's sports director, also Elitlopp's general, Anders Malmrot handed out the first of the coveted pink tickets that give a place in Elitloppet. This year, five million crowns are offered to the winner - when will the first invitation arrive?
- February 26th! The organization for this year will be a little different compared to previous years, but the work with invitations to create as attractive a starting field as possible in Elitloppet started the day after last year's Elitlopp final, says Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot.
This year will be extra festive as Elitloppet turns 70 - in 1952 Permit won the first edition.
The next date to watch out for is February 28 at 09.00 when all restaurant and grandstand seats are released on elitloppet.test.
