The Swedish crowd favorite and a Norwegian debutant are invited to Elitkampen.
Månlykke A.M. and Söndre Jerkeld will come to Solvalla on the last Sunday in May.
Odd Herakles, Stallone and Stjärnblomster are already part of Elitkampen 2022 and today two more participants were announced with Månlykke A.M. and Söndre Jerkeld. The sixth horse to be invited coming from Finland will be announced shortly.
Moonlighting A.M.
Gunnar Melander's cold-blooded star Månlykke A.M. will be one of the big attractions during the Elitlopp weekend. The eight-year-old, who has taken over the cold-blooded throne in Sweden after his father Månprinsen A.M., has won the Swedish Championship both in 2020 and 2021 in superior style and now the elite race audience will see him for the first time in Elitkampen. In three starts this year, he is undefeated and comes from an easy victory in Vårbjörken at Umåker.
- Månlykke A.M. is a fantastic cold blood and a real attraction in Elitkampen. Together with Gunnar Melander, the team has a lot of fans who are keeping their fingers crossed," says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.

Söndre Jerkeld finished third in the Unionskampen at Färjestadstravet last year, which is his only start on Swedish soil so far. The Swedish debut was made shortly after the thirteen-year-old took his biggest win in his career at home in Norway, when Söndre Jerkeld won the Norwegian Championship 2021 at Sörlandets Travpark at the end of July.
With a win in his last start, he has proven form as he comes to Solvalla and Elitkampen for the first time.
- Söndre Jerkeld became Norwegian champion in 2021 and was also very good as second behind Månlykke A.M. at Bjerke last year. At Saturday's victory in Bergen he looked very nice and he is strong in the sprint, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.
