When the start lists for the Elitlopp weekend emerged on Sunday, it was clear that it is world-class trotting that is offered at Solvalla.
16 horses compete in Elitloppet for eternal glory, a title as the world's best sprinter and five million crowns!
French stars Inexess Bleu and Idao de Tillard are pitted against Swedish mares Allegiant, Dream Mine and Don Fanucci Zet. Add last year's winner Go On Boy, the people's horse A Fair Day and Daniel Wäjersten's duo Borups Victory and Gio Cash where the latter also gets one of the world's best drivers, Dexter Dunn in a sulky.
- Gio Cash was the big winner in the track draw, he will be the horse to chase, says Solvalla's sports manager Ola Lernå.
There are more million-dollar races on Sunday, with some of the world's best coldbloods competing in the Elitkampen and the Breeders' Course finals.
Saturday is the STL finals, but all eyes will be on Harper Hanover's race where French top horses are chasing Swedish talents. At the start is the snack horse Gaining Experience who will try to keep away 20 meters before the King's Cup winner Baron Tilly and 40 meters before last year's winner Inmarosa and international top horse Igrec de Celland!
In the Sweden Cup, small Elitloppet, over 30 horses were entered! 21 got a place in the hunt for 600.000 SEK where top horses like First of Mind, Executiv Ek, Hades de Vandel, Krack Time Atout and Ideal du Rocher are competing.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 29-31, 2026. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different heats with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
