The Elitkampen with the million first prize has attracted the best available coldbloods in the North.
Nine boys - and the mare Majblomster - line up behind the starting car on Sunday at Solvalla over 1,609 meters. Three qualifying races have been run, one in Norway, one in Sweden and one in Finland. The winners there were B.W.Sture, Grisle Tore G.L, and Stallone. Three invitations came from Solvalla which went to Norwegian Baias, Finnish Pro and Swedish Oppgårdsdrängen.
The other four places went to high scorers, with three Norwegian horses Voje Dino, Åsvinn S.K. and Tordenskjold completing the field. And Swedish Majblomster! The six-year-old mare was fourth in the Elitkampen last year where she broke the Swedish record and trotted 1.19,8. Is it time for a podium in 2025?

The Elitkampen will be held on Sunday during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 29-31, 2026. The race is open to Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish cold-blooded trotting horses.
