Don Fanucci Zet is used to pushing boundaries and setting records.
On Wednesday he was presented as the first horse ready for Elitloppet via the E-race series.
Don Fanucci Zet will thus make his sixth appearance in Elitloppet!
- He is unique in many ways. The win in 2021, the second place in 2025, and now a sixth Elitlopp, you never stop being impressed by him as an individual," says Solvalla's sports director Ola Lernå.
Five starts in Elitloppet have been made by Adept, Nealy Lobell, Timoko and Victory Tilly. Don Fanucci is now alone second in number of appearances behind Xanthe who has been with seven (!) times.
- For Fanucci to do Elitloppet for the sixth time is absolutely amazing. I'm so proud of him and he never disappoints. We can't wait for the last weekend in May," says coach Daniel Redén.
Don Fanucci Zet made his way to Elitloppet via the newly established E-races and after six races his lead is unassailable. One race remains; HRH Prince Daniel's race in Gävle on May 23rd. After that, the runner-up in the E-race series will also be offered a ticket to Elitloppet.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 29-31, 2026. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different heats with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
