A week ago there were five - but when Evartti was forced to withdraw, only four remained. Now the starting field is growing again.
Evartti was previously one of the selected participants, but due to illness, the former 1TP3 winner from 2023 is forced to cancel this year's race. The quartet Stallone (Finland), Tangen Bork (Norway), B.W.Sture (Sweden) and Oppgårdsdrängen (Sweden) are already ready.
On Saturday, Solvalla's Elitlopp manager Anders Malmrot presented three new invited horses for Elitkampen 2025 - which means that seven coldbloods are now ready for this year's big coldblood festival at Solvalla. The new names are Norwegian Brenne Borken, Swedish Nordby Elde and Finnish Pro.
Brenne Borken has been one of the big talking horses among the coldbloods in recent years and now he comes to participate in Elitkampen for the very first time. Fifteen wins in his seventeen career starts so far, with wins in both the Norwegian Trotting Criterium and the Norwegian Trotting Derby on his record. He visited Solvalla in 2024 and won Jäntungen's race by far. Now he comes on a new visit and after defeating stablemate Tangen Bork in a fierce duel despite a race on the outside, he will be one of the big favorites in this year's edition.
