A Fair Day is ready as horse number seven for this year's edition of Elitloppet.
- Elisabeth is doing a fantastic job with her horse and I am very happy to invite them again. A Fair Day has looked even stronger this year than last year and I really hope that he now gets to show how good he is also in Elitloppet, says Anders Malmrot.
A Fair Day got his pink ticket to last year's Elitloppet after his victory in the Duke of Värmland, Prince Carl Philips Jubileumspokal. But the Elitloppet premiere did not last long - he galloped shortly after the start and the dream of a final place immediately went up in smoke for the crowd favorite.
A Fair Day made his breakthrough as a four-year-old when he won the Breeders' Crown final in Eskilstuna in 2023, a victory that is still the biggest of his career with 1.6 million SEK in first prize. The popular six-year-old has since continued to develop - and now a new chapter is being written in this Småland elite race saga.
He started this year's season with a superior victory, and after the triumph in the L.C. Peterson-Broddas Minne last Saturday at Jägersro - on a new course record for five-year-old Swedish horses - he is again ready for Elitloppet.
During the broadcast of V75 Direkt on TV4 on Saturday, Elitloppet's manager Anders Malmrot revealed that A Fair Day is now officially invited to this year's starting field.
- I am walking on little clouds that we get to be in Elitloppet again. It's joy, happiness and gratitude - and it will be wonderful to go to Solvalla on the last Sunday in May," says trainer Elisabeth Almheden.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 23-25, 2025. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial will meet in a final where the winner will receive five million SEK.
