There will be more Italian in seat number fifteen.
Denver Gio is ready for Elitloppet and now only one place remains for this year's edition.
- He looked brilliant at the trial victory in Lotterian and is a fast and interesting five-year-old under strong development, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.

As a four-year-old Denver Gio earned over 1,7 million SEK and even though he has mostly raced in his home country Italy, we got to see him win races from north to south on Swedish soil when he won in Boden, Solänget and at Jägersro 2023. The latter win was in Prix Cagnes-sur-Mer and is the biggest victory of his career so far. In Finland he won the Glenn Kosmos Memorial at Vermo racecourse in 2023 and he was also second at the end of the year in Italy in the Premio Unione Europea.

This year he won one of the trial races for the Gran Premio Lotteria in Italy in early May where he defeated, among others, already Elitloppinvited Capital Mail - in the final he finished fourth which was only the third start of the year for 2024.

- I am so grateful to have Denver Gio in this year's Elitlopp. He is a very good and very fast horse that comes with very good form to Solvalla, says Alessandro Gocciadoro.

Only one place remains for the world's biggest sprint race which will be announced later on Sunday - the track draw for the two trial races of Elitloppet 2024 will take place on TV12 at 17:30.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 24-26, 2024. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.

Horses invited to Elitloppet 2024: Idao de Tillard (France), Francesco Zet (Sweden), Joviality (Sweden), Hohneck (France), A Fair Day (Sweden), Go On Boy (France), Horsy Dream (France), Don Fanucci Zet (Sweden), Önas Prince (Sweden), Capital Mail (Italy), Borups Victory (Sweden), Bengurion Jet (Italy), Gaspar de Brion (France), Decision Maker (Sweden), Denver Gio (Italy)

Stoletheshow won Saturday's battle in HRH Prince Daniel's race at Gävletravet, which gives a direct place to Elitloppet, but just like after winning Finlandia Ajo, where there is also a direct place to compete for, the circle around the horse has chosen to decline the pink ticket.
