Second last year - now he's coming back on the last Sunday in May.
Go On Boy is the sixth horse to be ready for this year's edition of Elitloppet at Solvalla.
- He is an incredible sprinter and actually looks even stronger this year," says Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot.
Go On Boy was invited to the Elitloppet 2023 after a strong sprint in the Prix de l'Atlantique and it was his fantastic finish that the Elitlopp crowd got to witness as he sprinted in style to a shared second place behind winner Hohneck in the Elitloppet final.
Go On Boy took the biggest win of his career in late September 2023 when he won the Grand Prix de Wallonie in Belgium and was then back at Solvalla in mid-October when he finished second in the UET Elite Circuit Finale - again behind Hohneck. His other major victories include Prix de Milan, Prix Vindex and Prix de Washington.
In 2024, he has made a very strong start with over 231,000 euros earned. He has consistently performed well, including fourth in the Prix d'Amerique and second in the Prix de France behind the already Elitlopps-invited Idao de Tillard.
In Saturday's V75 Direkt on TV4, Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot said that the Romain Derieux-trained eight-year-old will take place number six to Elitloppet 2024.
- It takes a champion to be in Elitloppet and that is exactly what Go On Boy is. "I'm very happy to have been invited again because Elitloppet has given me such great experiences. I've always felt welcome at Solvalla and I'm looking forward to another fantastic visit," says Romain Derieux.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 24-26, 2024. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
