After a brilliant performance in the Meadow Roads race, we get to see him in the Elitloppet for the first time.
The thirteenth horse for the last Sunday in May at Solvalla is Ultion Face.
- He's not the horse with the best track record, he's been invited on performance and it shows what form he's in. "The Elitloppet is the biggest race in the world, a race that everyone wants to win and it's going to be a tough field this year with a lot of action in every corner," says trainer Adrian Kolgjini.
Ultion Face started racing as a two-year-old and as a colt he has participated in many major finals. He participated in both Svampen and Svensk Uppfödningslöpning during his debut season, as a three-year-old he qualified for the final of Breeders' Crown and as a four-year-old he fought in the top of the litter throughout the season. We saw him during the Elitlopp weekend 2020 where he finished third in the Four-Year-Old Elite and later in the year he was in the finals of the Swedish Trotting Derby, the European Derby and the Breeders' Crown.
In the Meadow Roads race this year, he put in a very good effort, getting caught just before the finish line in a record-breaking performance and finishing third behind the already invited duo of Hail Mary and Brother Bill.
Solvallas Sportchef Anders Malmrot told the news about Ultion Face in V75 Direkt in TV12 on Saturday and thus there are only three places left for this year's edition of Elitloppet. One of them is reserved for the winner of HRH Prince Daniel's race at Gävletravet tonight at 18.20.
- Ultion Face was incredibly good in the Meadow Roads race as he pulled at a rock-solid pace in the lead and really raced for an invitation. He and Adrian will be a real spice in Elitloppet, says Anders Malmrot.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 26-28, 2023. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
