Instead of competing in Elitloppet 2020, Seismic Wave won the Bronze Division final during last year's Elitlopp weekend. From the lead, he was superior in 1.11,6 over the middle distance of 2140 meters when he took home the first prize of SEK 220,000. He went on to win the Henning Mårthans Minne and two races in the Silver Division later in the year where he could sum up the season with over 700.000 SEK earned, but where he unfortunately did not have his best day in the Jubileumspokalen at Solvalla in August where he finished sixth after being the betting favorite in the big race for the five-year-old horses.
For the 2021 season, Seismic Wave has been mentioned early among the horses that could participate in Elitloppet for the first time and after two great performances, it is now time for just that.
He won his annual debut by far on May 1st at Örebro and after a brilliant finish in the Meadow Roads race at Solvalla last Wednesday he really showed that his form is there. Seismic Wave was the race's big exclamation mark behind winning Heavy Sound who got the direct place to Elitloppet and on Wednesday, Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot announced that Seismic Wave will also come to the last Sunday in May after that start. Thus, twelve horses are ready for Elitloppet 2021 at Solvalla.
