Last year he won Harper Hanover's race in a new world record - this year he will start in the main race.
Moni Viking is ready for the last Sunday in May.
- An incredibly handsome fux who has the sprint as his strong weapon and he will be very exciting in Elitloppet, says Solvallas sports manager Anders Malmrot.

Last year was the very first time we got to see him during the Elitlopps weekend and it could hardly have ended better - this when Moni Viking was responsible for one of the Elitlopps weekend's very best performances. The victory in Harper Hanover's race in a new world record 1.11,9/3180m was magnificent and Moni Viking has, in addition to his wins on Swedish soil, taken several fine victories in France in recent years.
However, the biggest victory of his career came at the beginning of August in 2020 when he won Åbys Stora Pris at Åbytravet with two million crowns to the winner - also there he was noted for a new world record over the long distance of 3140 meters with autostart.
Seven starts in 2021 have already brought in over SEK 1.6 million in earnings, with the latest in Örebro Int'l taken in impressive fashion in his first start on Swedish soil for the year after having another winter in France.
Most racing fans have thought that Moni Viking would defend her title in Harper Hanover's race on the upcoming Elitlopp weekend - but that won't be the case. For the first time in his career, Moni Viking will instead appear in the Elitloppet after receiving the pink ticket and accepting it. He is thus the tenth horse to be ready for Elitloppet in 2021.
- Moni Viking is rather unsighted over sprint distance, but I am convinced that he will handle it well, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.
