The French victory machine comes to Solvalla. The gelding Dorgos de Guez is the fifth horse to get a pink ticket for the last Sunday in May.

The invitation to Elitloppet 2021 means that it will be the first time on Swedish soil for the French chestnut who boasts a total of 31 victories so far in his career and is approaching ten million kronor in earnings. Last Wednesday, it was an easy victory in the Prix Jean Riaud at Vincennes, which is one of the horse's biggest triumphs, but the biggest came at the beginning of the year when it won the Prix du Luxembourg with 45,000 euros in first prize. Also that victory at Vincennes racecourse, which was taken in an impressive way, this in a record time of 1.10,9 over medium distance for Dorgos de Geuz.
Trainer Jean-Michel Bazire has won the Elitloppet as a driver twice before, winning two years in a row. The years were 2007 (L'Amiral Mauzun) and 2008 (Exploit Caf) and now he is looking for a Elitlopp victory also as a trainer - in 2019 his Aubrion Du Gers finished second in the Elitlopp final behind winning Dijon and this year his weapon is now called Dorgos de Guez after receiving an invitation to the Elitloppet 2021 on Wednesday evening.
