Gio Cash broke through as a serious horse when he won the Breeders' Course final in September as a two-year-old at Jägersro.
In 2023 and 2024 he took part in the Sweden Cup. This year it is Elitloppet that applies.
Daniel Wäjersten's beautiful stallion gets super driver Dexter Dunn in the saddle when he enters Elitloppet as horse number twelve.

- Gio Cash has shown in this year's starts that he should be in Elitloppet. The finish in Finland last time was absolutely Elitlopp class. He is beautiful as a painting and when the circle around the horse also spices up the participation with one of the world's best drivers, the choice was easy, says Solvalla's sports manager Ola Lernå.

Gio Cash started his racing career with Dion Tesselar, but Daniel Wäjersten took over the training in winter 2024-2025. And Gio Cash has taken the step into the world elite. Last year, the horse won Norrbotten's Grand Prix, ran 1.08.5 when he defeated Don Fanucci Zet in Årjäng and was stuck behind Lexus Kody in the ”World Cup race” at Yonkers.
- I have had Elitloppet in sight with Gio Cash for a very long time and it feels good that we are there, even if it has not worked out perfectly for him in the last two starts. I am completely serious when I say that I believe that Gio Cash is a horse that can win Elitloppet with the slightest flap, says Daniel Wäjersten.

The driver selection is slightly different as four-time US Driver of the Year, superstar Dexter Dunn flies across the Atlantic to take the reins behind Gio Cash.
- The owners of Gio Cash like Dexter Dunn and when they solved it themselves, I have absolutely nothing against it, says Daniel who thus also decided that he runs Borups Victory in Elitloppet. Borups Victory practiced for Elitloppet by winning Meadow Roads Lopp at Solvalla last Wednesday.

- It was absolutely perfect in the build-up to Elitloppet. I have a very good feeling for my two horses," says Wäjersten.
