The French star horse Horsy Dream withdraws from the Elitloppet due to lameness.
- I was looking forward to seeing Horsy Dream in the Elitloppet, but I appreciate that the trainer Pierre Belloche informed me well in advance. These are live animals competing and sometimes plans have to be changed. The horse's health is the most important thing and I wish Horsy Dream a speedy recovery," says Solvalla's sports director Anders Malmrot.
After Horsy Dream's elimination, there are five places left for Elitloppet 2023, one of which is reserved for the winner of
HRH Prince Daniel's race at Gävletravet, this Saturday, May 20.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 26-28, 2023. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
