Swedish victory with Norwegian horse in Elitkampen

This year's winner of the Elitkampen, Svea Ekonomi and Jim Frick races was eleven-year-old Lome Brage.

Lome Brage came to Jan-Olov Persson's stable just before his last start, on May 16, and could already give the stable a new big victory.
The foundation for the win was laid by Erik Adielsson already at the start, when Lome Brage took the lead on very fast legs. The first half lap was completed after 20.2, the lap after 21.5 and there were no direct threatening attacks during the rest of the race. Lome Brage ran away on good legs, and finished in 1.19,8 after a fast final half lap.
Owner Bengt Erik Persson from Norway was able to collect SEK 300,000 to add to the more than three million that Lome Brage has collected during his career.

Result Elitkampen:
1. Lome Brage, Sweden
2. Polara, Finland
3. Ulsrud Tea, Norway.
