Heavy Sound won the Meadow Roads race on Wednesday night, making him the ninth horse to receive a pink ticket.

Stablemate Double Exposure was the favorite in Meadow Road's race, but it was instead Heavy Sound who seized the pink ticket and the direct place to Elitloppet 2021. Heavy Sound, who participated for the first time in Elitloppet 2019 and then was knocked out in the trial, but who now gets a new chance and is thus also the second horse that trainer Daniel Redén has ready for this year's edition.
Second place in the Swedish Trotting Derby behind Readly Express is the biggest in terms of money with two million crowns earned for Heavy Sound, while the biggest victory of his career came in the E3 final in 2015 with 900,000 crowns in first prize.
In 2021, Heavy Sound had made three starts, including two victories, before tonight's race at Solvalla where a direct place to Elitloppet was at stake. From his inside track, Heavy Sound took the lead and then he tracked from start to finish in 1.10,3 over the short distance He is now the ninth horse to be ready for Elitloppet 2021.
- Heavy Sound has a lovely gear and is very effective when he competes at his best. He galloped when he was in the Elitloppet two years ago, but is now ready for a new attempt," says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.
