THE ELITE RACE GOAL: A SAFE CROWD!

The party and the crowds are back as Elitloppet becomes the world's biggest trotting race in 2022.
Solvalla is constantly developing the event with a full focus on the audience and the experience - and it can be "patchwork".

- Our guests will of course recognize themselves, but at the same time we want to renew and give more options in how to best experience the folk festival, says Solvalla's CEO Jörgen Forsberg.

Together with Spendrups, news will be presented to the Solvalla audience in connection with Elitloppet. The festival area is growing, Sweden's longest (?) bar will see the light of day and it will be both bubbling and fizzing in the audience area.

In particular, there are four new areas that will further strengthen the experience and provide the opportunity to divide the audience area at Solvalla into sections for a safer and more secure visit:

  • The festival area - even bigger than before with a focus on fun, atmosphere and good food and drink.
  • Totobaren - in the A-stand right in front of the finish line, Sweden's perhaps longest bar is being built in the old toto hatches that minimize queuing.
  • Bubbel & Rosé - right next to the E-stand, you can enjoy a sandwich accompanied by a glass of bubbly or exciting wines.
  • World of Food & Beer - with beers from around the world and a brand new Asian-inspired food selection, designed to match the different beers.

Of course, there are non-alcoholic options available in all serving areas.

In order to create a safer spectator area with a high level of comfort and the possibility of movement between different areas at Solvalla, an audience ceiling of 27,000 people is also introduced.

- It is still too early to say what the behavior and interest in live events will be after the pandemic, but we want to be clear about our high ambitions regarding safety in connection with the folk festival Elitloppet at Solvalla, says Jörgen Forsberg.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 27-29, 2022. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives five million SEK.
