Fourteen horses were ready for Elitloppet 2022 before HRH Prince Daniel's Race, where the winner of Gävle's sprint race, as in previous years, was given the opportunity to become one of the sixteen horses until the last Sunday in May.
Over the final furlong this Saturday, Click Bait sprinted away from his opponents to a superior victory from the lead in a time of 1.10,5 over 1609 meters with autostart. After the win, the circle around him has chosen to accept his pink ticket and he thus becomes horse number fifteen to be ready for this year's edition.
Click Bait took the biggest triumph of his career when he was rewarded with SEK 400,000 in first prize. As a four- and five-year-old, he was third in the Sprinters' Champion and the Jubilee Cup, and before Saturday's victory in HRH Prince Daniel's Race, it was the win in Färjestad's Jubilee Race 2021 that was the biggest.
Click Bait took part in Elitloppet for the first time last year - this will be his second time.

The very last place in the Elitloppet 2022, place number sixteen, will be taken by the horse that wins the People's Horse vote. Calle Crown, Night Brodde and Stoletheshow are the three horses you can vote for - voting started at 18:50 on Saturday, May 21 and will continue until 11:00 on Sunday, May 22. This will be done via www.folketshast.se and those who vote will also have the chance to win an exclusive restaurant package in Valla Krog during the Elitlopp weekend for two people (value SEK 6,580).
Folkets Häst and who will take place number sixteen in Elitloppet 2022 will be announced at the Elitloppet draw on TV12 on Sunday, May 22nd.

Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 27-29, 2022.
