Per Olav Andersen will be the new Managing Director of the largest racecourse in the Nordic region, Solvalla.
- This will be an exciting challenge and the opportunity to combine my interest in trotting with work has attracted me to Sweden. I am proud of the appointment,\" says Per Olav.

Per Olav Andersen, 54, most recently held the position of general manager at Lillehammer Olympic Park, where sports events and concerts are organized. Before that, he was manager at Momarken racecourse.
- I have a great interest in horses, I go trotting, I own trotting horses, I watch trotting races and I read trotting magazines. Being able to combine my great interest with the opportunity to think in new ways, not least with Solvallastaden, really made me excited about the challenge,\" says Per Olav.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n

An economist by training, he has held management positions in companies, sports associations and federations, and has worked as a manager of major international events in several different sports. He is also behind the Norwegian TV hit \"Alls\u00e5ng p\u00e5 gr\u00e4nsen\", which has also been broadcast on Swedish TV.
- It's perhaps the thing I'm least known for...but the program did air for 16 years on Norwegian television.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n

Per Olav will take on the role of Managing Director at Solvalla on April 1, 2025.
- I have a daughter in Gothenburg and a son who lives in Stockholm. I was born on the border of Sweden and I love living in Sweden! My wife and I are really looking forward to moving to Stockholm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n

What do you think you can bring to Solvalla?
- To see opportunities in the tough times that exist. For me, Solvalla and Elitloppet are the best things in this sport and they are two fantastic brands to work with,\" says Per Olav.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n

- It has been a long process where we gave the assignment to Alumni Global, who have done a solid job. There were almost 100 applicants from the start, but the fewer who remained, the more obvious our choice has become.
