The race always takes place on the last Sunday in May and has been held at Solvalla since 1952. During the whole weekend, the racecourse usually counts 50,000 visitors and the race is broadcast live in 17 countries. Elitlopp weekend is held this year on May 24-26.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of the Elitloppet will receive SEK three million. In addition to the prize money, Kjell Engman has been given the honor of designing an honorary prize that is awarded to the winning horse's owner, trainer, driving friend, breeder and groom. In addition, the competitors in Elitloppet get to take part in Kjell Engman's creative joy as the assignment also included designing all participant prizes.<\/p>\n<p>- I wanted to make a horse that looks resilient and intense. He draws a lot of inspiration from the animal kingdom and is frequently hired for public decorations both nationally and internationally.
