Looking Superb will for the second time be in the Elitloppet on the last Sunday in May. \"He has great charisma and is strong in the sprint,\" says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Norwegian-owned seven-year-old has made great strides in his development in recent years and was already in the Elitloppet last year. However, after finishing third in his attempt, he unfortunately galloped in the final. The participation in Elitloppet was one of several big races in 2019 for Looking Superb, who had a brilliant season with over five million kronor earned.<\/p>\n<p>Looking Superb finished second in the Grand Prix d'Amerique at the beginning of last year and later won the Prix de l'Atlantique at the end of April - the biggest victory of his career so far. A performance that earned him a place in the Elitloppet and now it's time again.<\/p>\n<p>Looking Superb had five starts on French soil in 2020 before he visited the north again on April 25 and even though it was only a fifth place in the Paralympic final at \u00c5bytravet, it was with a taste for more. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The spread of the new coronavirus has led to laws, regulations and directives that have resulted in Solvalla and other Swedish trotting tracks completely closing down their spectator facilities since March 12. In addition to this, a number of restrictions have been introduced around the stables.
