The Elitlopp weekend May 29-31 continues to fill up with horses. On Wednesday, another trio of warmbloods and coldbloods were ready for this year's Speedrace.
- Among other things, we will see some in the lower class try to match one of our fastest coldbloods and it will be fun to see how they stand up over 640 meters, says Solvalla's sports manager Anders Malmrot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the invitees is Ingbest - a familiar name to the cold-blooded lover. The eight-year-old stallion has won both the Norwegian Criterium and the Norwegian Derby during his career and boasts nearly 3.5 million kroner in earnings.<\/p>\n

As an elite competitor, Ingbest is the horse with the credentials among Wednesday's invited coldbloods - but more want to run fast in this year's Speedrace.<\/p>\n

Eight-year-old Guli Tor and seven-year-old Torpa P\u00e5l are the other two coming to the Elitlopp weekend.<\/p>\n

Guli Tor has won fifteen races and Torpa P\u00e5l has won eight races so far in their careers and these invited coldbloods mean that two thirds of the participants are ready for this year's Speedrace.<\/p>\n

The three invited warmbloods are Highspeed Call, Jefferson Dotcom and Target Kronos. A trio who have all won sprint races over a lap - but who now for the first time compete in Speedrace over 640 meters during the Elitlopp weekend at Solvalla.<\/p>\n

- \"Target Kronos has always had a reputation for speed, and Highspeed Call and Jefferson Dotcom have both recently shown tremendous starting speed,\" says Anders Malmrot.<\/p>\n

Thus, there are three places left in each category before the starting fields in this year's Speedrace are ready.<\/p>\n

Speedrace will be held at Solvalla on May 29 for cold blood and May 30 for warm blood. Each Speedrace has nine starting horses. The races are decided as three trial heats with three horses in each heat over the distance 640 meters autostart. In the final, the three winners from each heat meet.<\/p>\n

The speed race is part of the Elitlopp weekend on May 29-31, which this year will be organized without spectators.
