The pre-season favorites had no luck in Sunday's track draw for Elitloppet 2020, as Propulsion and Earl Simon will both start from track eight in their attempts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Propulsion has a long track record with an amazing SEK 31 million earned - but no win in Elitloppet yet. Two second places are the best result in four attempts and in 2020 Propulsion makes his fifth start in the race. However, the track draw turned out to be a nightmare for Daniel Red\u00e9n's jumper when it was decided on Sunday - track eight in the trial for Propulsion.<\/p>\n

It was also track eight for the other top-seeded horse Earl Simon in his attempt - which opens up the Elitloppet 2020 considerably with the two pre-favorites from the track at the far end behind the starting car wing.<\/p>\n

In other words, the stage is set for a very exciting Elitlopp at Solvalla on the last Sunday in May.<\/p>\n

About Elitloppet
<\/strong>Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 29-31, 2020. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each. The top four in each trial meet in a final where the winner receives three million SEK.<\/p>\n

This year, the Elitlopp weekend will be organized without spectators. The spread of the new coronavirus has led to laws, regulations and directives that have resulted in Solvalla and other Swedish trotting tracks completely closing down their spectator facilities since March 12. In addition to this, a number of restrictions have been introduced around the stables.
