We will continue to have an international event with interest from all over the world, of course it feels extra fun to be able to do it in 2022 when we can also welcome the audience back to Elitloppet, says Malmrot.<\/p>\n<p>Solvalla is the organizer of Elitloppet, but it is a joint effort together with Svensk Travsport (ST) that enables the leap Elitloppet takes into the future.<\/p>\n<p>- \"Elitloppet is the concern of all of trotting Sweden and a brand of great importance. A boost for Elitloppet is simply a boost for Swedish trotting, says Robert Karlsson, sports director at ST.<\/p>\n<p>As before, there will be the possibility of air transportation to Elitloppet for the horses.<\/p>\n<p>- For example, the increased prize money does not affect plans to fly horses from France into Elitloppet,\" says Malmrot.<\/p>\n<p>An even bigger adjustment percentage-wise will be given to the cold-blooded Elitlopp, Elitkampen. In 2022, one million will be awarded to the winner of the race, which, like the Elitloppet, will be run on the last weekend of May at Solvalla.<\/p>\n<p>- \"It's fantastic and exciting to be able to crown the world's best cold blood over sprint distance. A million in first prize in Elitkampen will attract the very best from Sweden, Norway and Finland to Solvalla, says Anders Malmrot.<\/p>\n<p>Elitloppet is the main attraction during the Elitlopp weekend, which will be held at Solvalla in Stockholm on May 27-29, 2022. Elitloppet is an invitational race where 16 horses compete in two different trials with eight horses in each.
