Solvalla welcomes our neighbors to the west to Elitloppsfest.
Six-year-old Charron is the 14th horse to be ready for the world's biggest sprint race on the last weekend in May.

- Charron did a very strong race a bit in the shadow of the Paralympic race. He is a worthy representative of Norway. Charron fights from a disadvantaged position, but has the speed and attitude for a prominent position, says Solvalla's sports manager Ola Lernå.

The big breakthrough for Charron came in the final of the Norwegian sprint champion, the Jarlsberg Grand Prix. And followed up with a somewhat sensational victory in the Norwegian Derby where the giant favorite Just Like Heaven was relegated to second place. Charron has continued to develop and made it to Elitloppet already last year. After a winter in France he has matured, is stronger and once again the Norwegian hope a Elitlopp contender. The Gundersen coaching family with father Geir Vegard in the lead and son Magnus as driver has refueled heavily for the last Sunday in May at Solvalla.
- We have loaded! And are so grateful for the invitation, for us Elitloppet is the finest of races. The horse looks great and is ready, says Geir Vegard Gundersen.

Who has the answer if anyone thinks he ”only” brings a Norwegian flag to Sweden and Elitloppet.
- "We were very close to a place in the final last year. This year Charron is stronger and better, we just need a little luck with the track draw and we will be in the running for it," says Geir Vegard Gundersen.
